"I moved to Grants Pass from Michigan and enjoyed an open and welcoming reception from the entire staff.  Lovejoy Hospice still has "the heart" and is focused on Hospice care.  We are what Hospice was meant to be.  When I call physicians, they are eager to listen and help due to our great reputation, and the community supports Lovejoy Hospice.  There is growth  potential here for me in every way.   I like that we have an excellent ratio of nurses, social workers, and other team members to care for the patient.  There is a push for quality throughout the organization, rather than just productivity.  The agency is growing, the area and state are beautiful and diverse, and the weather is just right.  I have worked at other Hospices, and this is the best decision I have made in a long time."

"I feel extremely privileged to be able to be with patients at such a sensitive time in their lives. Hospice nurses are specialists in pain and symptom management, and that is huge.  Our patients are most satisfied with the way we at Lovejoy Hospice care for them.  And the education we get at Lovejoy goes well beyond anything in nursing school.  The Lovejoy Team and the comraderie are special.  We have a great facility, and administration is very respectful and caring for all the staff.  This is the most rewarding and fulfilling nursing I have done in my 40 years of nursing."

“If other R.N.’s knew about hospice nursing, they would be lining up.  Lovejoy Hospice nursing gives me the ability to have quality time and interaction with patients and families.  There are concrete results due to our symptom management. Our team support enhances patient and family coping and makes the end-of-life process easier physically and emotionally. There is gratification for me in being a part of that.”

“The sense of family, mutual respect, and teamwork at Lovejoy Hospice is unparalleled. There is excellent management and an enormous focus on professionalism and education for staff. Working at Lovejoy Hospice is the best decision I have ever made career-wise. Yes, Hospice is the best kept secret in the nursing profession.”
